About Me

After many years in the insurance industry a change of direction was required due to redundancy.

“It appears that after a certain age you are over qualified for many positions.”

This being the case and on the instruction of my wife I decided (Without much argument or persuasion) to embark on a new employment venture hence the re training began. Training as a Domestic Energy Assessor was completed in June 2007, accreditation was confirmed in August 2007 with the Buildings Research Establishment to allow Domestic Energy Certification. Further to Domestic Energy Surveys I decided to train for Non Domestic Accreditation which was achieved in April 2010.

My view of the energy certificate is twofold, in the first instance the certificate can assist in saving money with the heating cost in a property by being aware of possible changes to the insulation heating and glazing, by saving on energy costs the Co2 emission is reduced .

There are many small changes that can make a considerable difference to the amount you have to spend on the running of a home or factory, office, or shop.

So by saving money you can save the planet!
