Do I still need an EPC?

The requirement for a Home Information Pack (HIP) was suspended on the 21st May 2010. From this date it is not required to sell your home.

The Energy Performance Certificate is still required to put your home on the market, the rules are quite simple, you are required to commission an Energy Performance Certificate at the time the house is marketed, the rules state that the certificate should be available within 28 days from the date of marketing.

The estate agent will show the energy performance graph on the particulars of the sale once the certificate is available. Please do not hesitate in contacting me should you require any further information.
