Domestic Energy Certificates

The energy survey consists data collection from the property to calculate the performance of the building in relation to running costs, the type of heating, lighting, insulation, glazing, flooring are all taken into account.

The building will also be measured to gain the square and cubic area used within the calculation. (Internally or externally)

The resultant certificate is a recommendation for the new owner (or Land Lord), the report makes suggestions of improvements which can save on the costs of running the home throughout the year. The certificate shows the energy rating and Co2 emissions at the time of the survey, it will show measures that can be taken to improve the house efficiency in low cost and higher cost areas.

There are simple ways to improve the energy efficiency these can be: Upgrade heating controls (i.e. Thermostatic radiator vales, room thermostat). Also cavity wall  and loft insulation

More expensive considerations are: Condensing Boiler, Solar Panels, Double Glazing.
